In May 2012, the tragic loss of 18-year-old Alan Blueford occurred at the hands of a former OPD officer, who attributed his actions to the City of Oakland. To honor Alan's memory, the Alan Blueford Foundation organizes an Annual Birthday Toy/Gift/Coat Donation Drive, aimed at collecting toys, warm coats, and support for children aged 0-16 who have faced loss. Our goal is to spread joy to these young individuals during the holiday season. We encourage contributions in the form of toys, laptops (new or used), coats, jackets, gift cards, or cash, as your support is crucial for helping these children heal.
